Clinton Concedes Democratic Nomination; Obama Leads Party in Fall

I was watching her speech on CSpan and I laughed at the sham of democracy. These people bash each other to become the candidate and then they completely retract previous statements. From months, Clinton has been saying how she would be a better president than Obama or McCain and that she could beat McCain. Now she's going to support Obama and stand by her previous statements?

The party system to electing a president is completely stupid. It forces people to abandon their true beliefs just so they can stay in favor of the people with money. We all know that inside Clinton wants to stay in the race, but because she was mathematically eliminated from being the Democrat nominee, there is no way she could get enough money to run and they will ostracize her forever.

What should be done is a completely open election without any parties behind the candidates. They candidates have to raise their own money, so it is more even. I would go as far as saying the candidates would have a set amount of TV commercials or other advertisements. This way the winner would purely be determined by their policies.
